There are two community parks in Middleton which have picnic shelters available to rent. Shelters at Lakeview and Firemen's Park have electrical outlets, and access to water. The shelters can be reserved through the Recreation Department – 827-1060.
Facilities at Lakeview Park include two covered outdoor shelters, with picnic tables. The East Shelter can accommodate 200 people, while the West Shelter can accommodate 100 people. These outdoor shelters can be reserved from May 15 through October 15.
Also available at Lakeview Park, on a year-round basis, is a completely enclosed meeting room. The meeting room contains tables and chairs and can accommodate 50 people.
The Lakeview Park Shelter complex also contains a full kitchen, with a stove, refrigerator, sink, and cupboard space. The kitchen is adjacent to the East Shelter and meeting room and is rented separately.
Facilities at Firemen's Park include three covered outdoor shelters, with picnic tables. The North Shelter can accommodate 200 people, while the South Shelter can accommodate 100 people and Small Shelter can accommodate 50 people. The shelters can be reserved from June 9 through August 17.
Park shelters accommodating 25 people can also be rented at Parisi Park and Orchid Heights park.
RENTAL FEE:
The rental fee is determined by the residency of the individual signing the permit.
The rental fee is the same if the shelter is used for three hours or ten hours.
The rental fee for City of Middleton residents is as follows:
Lakeview Shelters - EAST ($60.00), WEST ($55.00), MEETING ROOM ($55.00) KITCHEN ($50.00) GAZEBO ($25.00 per hour).
The rental fee for all shelters at Firemens, Parisi and Orchid Heights are $55.00.
Non-residents of the City of Middleton will pay double the resident fees.
Reservations can be made by phone and will be accepted for one or more shelters.
Reservations are guaranteed only when the fee is paid and the permit signed.

All reservations must be made at least ten days in advance and no earlier than one year in advance.
LIMITATIONS OF USE:
- Park hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- No person shall dump rubbish or other material in any park.
- Only beer and wine are permitted at Lakeview and Fireman's park. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all other city parks.
- Glass containers are prohibited in any park area.
- Fires are only allowed in grills or designated fireplaces.
- Smoking is prohibited within any park structure.
- Motor vehicles shall not be driven on grass areas around the shelter.
- No person shall operate any sound system outdoors, cause amplified music or other sound in the city without a permit. A sound permit can be applied for at the Middleton City Hall, 7426 Hubbard Ave., City Clerk's Office, 827-1050
